The QIAS accommodation service is efficient and committed to meeting the housing requests of our students.

Finding the necessary living arrangements in a foreign country can be a daunting task. At QIAS, we strive to provide an accommodation service that is uncomplicated and complements your living and studying in Egypt.

Please read the following:

If you want QIAS to find a place for you, you have the following options:

1) We will find you an apartment prior to your arrival in Egypt, as near to your description as possible. You will go straight from the airport to your flat.

2) If you want to choose your own apartment upon your arrival in Egypt from a group of flats that QIAS has selected, then we advise you to stay in a hotel or QIAS flat (if available) until you have chosen a suitable apartment.

3) If a QIAS flat is vacant and you decide to stay there on a daily basis until you leave then you can do so. Arrangement of rent fees will then be determined based on the duration of your stay. Accommodation in a QIAS flat per day is Euro € 8 per person per night.

Below are some estimated rental costs for a 2 bedroom, fully-furnished apartment in the vicinity of QIAS:

Winter season (per month):

170 - 300 Euro (without air-conditioning)

250 - 400 Euro (with air-conditioning)

Summer season (per month):

300 - 400 Euro (without air-conditioning)

400 - 500 Euro (with air-conditioning)

Note: It is possible for students to share a flat and split the rental cost. Also, while the above estimates reflect current rent prices in the summer and winter, prices can still fluctuate. QIAS will try our best to inform you of any major changes.

if you stay in a flat for a short period of time (i.e. less than 3 - 6 months) then landlords are likely to increase the rent of the flat. This increase is usually from 25% to 30%.

It is the norm here in Egypt for landlords to ask for one month's rent as a deposit for the flat. This will be returned to you at the end of the contract. Landlords also ask for a deposit for the phone. They fear that tenants will not pay phone bills. This deposit, also refundable, is usually in the region of 500 LE or more. However, all things are negotiable.

Please note when QIAS finds you a flat you will be required to pay QIAS a quarter of one month's rent as commission.

QIAS Accommodation in Alexandria

QIAS offers shared accommodation for single students at the following rates per month:

* Prices in summer season (June, July and August)

These prices include bills.

The apartments provided by QIAS are well-furnished, within walking distance to the school and most contain ADSL, AC,  phone, satellite and a fan in every room.

Places are limited so please register early.

Note: If you wish to stay in a very nice apartment with all the modern appliances, be prepared to pay 1700 LE ( Euro €200 ) and above in winter. Also keep in mind that during the summer, prices for accommodations rise considerably.
