The month of Ramadan is the ninth month in the Hijri calendar, and it is a special month for Muslims in which the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (SWT), on Laylat al-Qadr, one of the last ten nights of Ramadan.
The blessed month of Ramadan occupies a great position among Muslims because of the many bounties it carries, in addition to the historical events that it witnessed.
And the Prophet (SWT), took special care of the Quran in this blessed month, as he used to recite the Quran in all his conditions, standing, sitting, and lying down, and nothing prevented him from
no doubt that reading the Quran in Ramadan is one of the most beloved deeds to God, as God praised His servants, saying: “Those who recite the Book of God and establish prayer and spend out of what We have given them secretly and openly hope for a trade that will not fail so that He will fulfill their wages and increase them.”
On the authority of the Prophet (SWT), he said: “Recite the Quran, for it will come as an intercessor for its companions on the Day of Resurrection.” Narrated by Muslim.

The virtue of the Holy Quran in Ramadan
-The feeling of joy and happiness, which is an authentic fruit of the Muslim’s heart attachment to his Creator, by repeating His verses and venerating Him.
– Feeling brave and self-strength, and getting rid of fear, sadness, stress, and anxiety.
-Reading the Holy Quran is a power in language. The one who lives with the verses of the Quran and what they contain precise eloquence, sweet eloquence, and strong language, thereby strengthens his language and enriches his vocabulary, especially when he lives with the Quran, contemplating its meanings.
-The regularity of the Quran reciter’s social relations with the people around him, as the light of the Quran is reflected in his behavior, in word and deed.
-The benefits of fasting, praying, and all different forms of worship in Ramadhan are significant to all believers. However, there is a special bond between Quran & Ramadan that gives learning Quran, reciting it, memorizing it, and teaching it a special place during this sacred month.
-At any other month, you get 10 good deeds for each letter you read from the Quran. So, how many good deeds you can get for every letter you read in Ramadan?! In this regard, our beloved prophet said:
-Whoever recites a letter from Allah’s Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.
-The Quran becomes the best savior for Muslims that recite it regularly, moreover during Ramadan. As the main benefit, while reading and reciting the Quran, it can be one of the best saviors for Muslims in their afterlife.
That is why it is better to read and recite the Quran during Ramadan than do nothing. Besides, it mentions in the Quran surah Ar Ra’d verse 37 below.
وَكَذٰلِكَ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ حُكْمًا عَرَبِيًّاۗ وَلَىِٕنِ اتَّبَعْتَ اَهْوَاۤءَهُمْ بَعْدَمَا جَاۤءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِۙ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّٰهِ مِنْ وَّلِيٍّ وَّلَا وَاقٍ ࣖ –٣٧
“And thus We have sent it down (the Quran) as rule (correct) in Arabic. If you follow their wishes after knowledge comes to you, then there is nothing to protect and help you from (the torment) of Allah.” (QS 13:37)
-The basic benefit when you read and recite the Quran is to become more knowledgeable than before. Moreover, when you do it during Ramadan you intentionally raise your knowledge. Such as mentioned in the Quran verse Sad verse 29 below.
كِتٰبٌ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ اِلَيْكَ مُبٰرَكٌ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوْٓا اٰيٰتِهٖ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ اُولُوا الْاَلْبَابِ – ٢٩
“The Book (Al-Quran) which We sent down to you is full of blessings so that they can live up to its verses and so that those with common sense can learn a lesson.” (QS 38:29)
